QuickTime offre di base i codec H264 e mpeg4 mentre l'mpeg2 è più difficile da trovare essendo protetto da copyright. E' infatti il codec con cui si fanno i DVD video.
Bene. Andiamo a vedere allora come esportare un video da After Effects adatto al caricamento su YouTube HD.

La composizione di After offre dei preset HD. Usiamo uno di quelli.
Su "Impostazione predefinita" selezioniamo "HDV/HDTV 720 25. This setting is suitable for HD video. As you can see the resolution set in automatic mode, the video size 1280x720 pixels square (rectangular ones are used for TV), and 25 frames per second. The duration the video is indifferent.

Composed our video, export as follows:
Enter up "type of compressor" H264 or mpeg4 . Below, speed up click on "every" and write next 24. Please note that this is not representative frames per second, but it is a given that every 24 compression frames is taken a frame of reference. 24 is obtained by setting a good quality weight. The fps is expressed above: "current" which means the same as our video (25). Below, we have made maximum quality. On the right we set the "data rate": How much data processed per second playback. The higher the number, the video quality is high, weighs more than the final file. It seems that there are limits to YouTube's data rate. If the loading phase you have time available, click on "Automatic". The quality will be optimal. If you do not want a huge file, up to 1200 kbps the quality is decent. Under shelling starts, but the weight is reduced significantly. Experiment. Where there is a window where you choose interlaced fields (eg, Upper Field, Lower Field, etc. ..), select "Separated field" or "de-interlaced." Interlacing in this case does not concern us.
